SELECTED WORKS
Holy Manta
About this work
The manta becomes an emblem of creature and spirit, crossing colorful waters within outward echoes of vibration. A meditation on balance, flow, and the unseen forces that carry us.

SELECTED WORKS
Yo Soy Cafe
About this work
Made with Café La Llave from Cuba and a Havana Club rum bottle, this work embodies the artist’s origins, limitless freedom, and the unpredictability of being human.

SELECTED WORKS
Merican Stock Exchange
About this work
Painted entirely with the artist’s non-dominant hand, this work confronts American capitalism through a homeless figure, the looming Exchange, and a forest of dead trees. It asks what survives when ambition overshadows human need.

SELECTED WORKS
The Eternal Bull
About this work
A bull’s skull, crowned with gold and rainbow feathers, holds the tension between mortality and transcendence. Its divided field and circle suggest cycles of strength, sacrifice, and renewal.

SELECTED WORKS
A la Deriva / Adrift
About this work
A red figure drifts between matter and nothingness through deep greens. Knife-carved strokes speak of wounds and connection, finding beauty in vulnerability and surrender.

SELECTED WORKS
Splatter Bloom
About this work
Thrown paint brings gravity, force, and chance together before oil pastel defines the petals. Beauty emerges from impact and movement, inviting a view of flowers from the scale of the smallest creatures.

SELECTED WORKS
Reject Self
About this work
A representation of an inner self that many cannot describe, see, or understand, yet which persists within us. The work confronts the part of ourselves we resist acknowledging or connecting with.

SELECTED WORKS
Retirement
About this work
Boots being placed into a travel bag signify the retirement of a military man. An inverted tree line behind them evokes the disorientation of leaving a structured military identity and entering a new life.

SELECTED WORKS
Parallel Universe of Lines #1
About this work
Parallel lines work together to establish order and depth. Repetition creates structure, while subtle variations in their spacing and color introduce movement within that order.

SELECTED WORKS
Parallel Universe of Lines #2
About this work
Inspired by agave plants, this work turns vertical, plant-like rhythms into dense layers of colored lines. Repetition and diagonal forms suggest the organic structure and movement of the plant.
